Hello and welcome!
We’re the Kitchen family! Jess, Steve, Reuben, Megan and Charlotte and this is our place to talk about our travels and what we get up to along the way.
we are based in the UK and have a normal family/work/school life here; no digital nomading or full time world schooling (if only…). Travel was a part of life before my husband and I met, before we had kids, and now it’s something we do together as a family.
The travel bug has always been there (we’ve travelled to over 25 countries as a family, over 50 if we include the countries we visited pre kids), and although the way we travel has evolved over the years—particularly with kids who aren’t always as enthusiastic—it’s still a central part of who we are.
With the kids in school, we now travel during the school holidays, as we both work full-time, and we’ve learned to make it work on a budget. But the desire to see new places, experience different cultures, and expose our kids to a variety of experiences remains as strong as ever. It’s about giving them the chance to learn, grow, and see the world from different perspectives—without breaking the bank.
